BULLETIN 15 MAY

It/s been a busy two weeks on and off the track

At Churchill Downs WENT THE DAY WELL ran a fantastic race in the Kentucky Derby. He finished 4th only beaten 2 1/2 lengths, and I am convinced that with another 50 yards he would have eebn 2nd. An extraordinary race all around, with Bodemeister running those crazy fractions and still hanging on for 2nd. Also nice to see that all horses came back safe. But back to the performance of WENTTHE DAY WELL. He had a disastrous start, a very rough trip for the first part of the race, but once in the clear he exploded and finished so well that at one point I thought he might even win it. Various pundits have maintained that with a clear tri[p he would have won the race...well maybe !!!!!!!

On the Friday at Churchill both TONES and KOKO LOCA put up reasonable efforts on a track which did not suit their running styles. TONES was not able to close off a sedate pace but did not disgrace himself, and I thought KOKO LOCA ran really well for a filly who had only just arrived in the USA.
BYRAMA Ran a good race in the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes at Hollywood, finishing 3rd. Sadly the race was marred by the death of the winner just after it had passed the finishing line. There is a good graded Stakes race to be won with this filly

Looking forward this wekend WENT THE DAY WELL goes for the Preakness, DESTINYS CHILD runs in a Listed race in Germany, and the following weekend ANGEGREEN will run in the Italian Oaks.

I am in the process of buying the first winning two year old of the year, a really promising filly. More information once all the formalities are completed.
