UNder a great ride from John Velzquez, WENT THE DAY WELL, ran away with the Spiral Satkes on the polytrack at Turfway Park this evening. He won, going away by 3 1/2 lengths.

Tracking the pace just behind the leaders, Went the Day Well came out four wide rounding the final turn an d despite jinkin to his left for a brief moment, he powered away to win with ease.

 

This success was even more exciting as the earnings he made from this race should help him make the cut for the Kentucky Derby, the first Satgurday in May. I believe the 'Run for the Roses' is now going to be the primary target for this extremely talented son of Proud Citizen.
