Just before the heatwave struck to force the cancellation of Saturday's card, PILLAR MOUNTAIN, a colt we bought last year from Paddy Twomey came out for his fifth US Start over 1 mile and 3 furlongs at Saratoga on Friday evening.
Settled at the back of the field , a full 15 or so length off the lead, he picked up steadily rounding the home turn and cruised by his rivals to win by a increasing margin of over 2 lengths.

This is a very decent colt and I look forward to his stepping up in class to Stakes level next. Over this trip he will be very hard to beat.

This was a great training performance by Todd Pletcher and an inspired ride from one of the best jockeys around in Joel Rosario

I am delighted  for Team Valor. Following on from Technician and Spanish Mission this was another win for a horse sourced and purchased by us for them.  Hopefully this will continue
