CRIMSON CHINA Showed that he is a very good horse although he only finished 2nd in the Rushaway Stakes at Turfway last weekend.

Having been balloted out of his intended target ( THe Spiral Stakes the same day) CRIMSON CHINA broke slowly, resented the kickback, settled way back at the tail of the field and going into the final turn it looked an impossible task ( particularly as the fractions had been very slow). However he picked up in eyecatching style and was closing on the winner all the way to the line. It was certainly a very good performance...apart from the way the race was run, he needs further and should be seen to good effect next time out

Reportedly he will now be aimed for the Blue Grass Stakes at Keenland in a few weeks' time
