It could have been a dream US debut for EASY TICKET in the feature race at Santa anita yesterday, but he was denied by a nose. A stride before the wire he looked to have his nose in front and it looked like it again a stride after, but it was not to be where it mattered on the line. He did not help his cause by lugging in ( hanging) all the way up the straight. This happened after he had been bumped by another horse when they were crossing the intersection with the dirt. Who know what causes a horse to do this. It definitely cost him the race and I hope there is no physical reason for it.

Still a nice first Californian effort and I hope that he will fulfill the big expectations of his owners Class Racing.

 

Looks like there is a busy weekend coming up for our horses, but I am told that it is expected to rain again, so if everything gets taken off the turf...who know shat will actually run!
