This is a uqiet time of year, so I am finally able to sit down and update this section of the site. The winter is also the time where I can reflect on what happened in 2010 and what the plans for this coming year are. Hopefully it will be a good 'vintage'

 

The horses I bought at the Horses in Training Sale are all doing  very well and a few of them look like they are going to be srious horses. From the way they have been working SURREY STAR, EASY TICKET and LATIN LASHES look like they mean business. The others are doing well too and I am confident that they will all be visiting the winner's circle in the not too distant future.

 

SURREY STAR ran a very creditable 3rd in the Generous Stakes, particularly as he did not have the best preparation as he had to be shipped earlier than ideal due to the difficulty of gettig the quarantine organised in the run up to the Thanksgiving holiday. He is training very well and I have big hopes for him

 

Since the sale I have bought three nice horses for clients in the USA and a couple for new owners in Hong Kong. The ones which have shipped to the USA are:

                SINGAPORE LILLY a filly who won a Listed race in the UK, was placed in a Grade 1 in ITaly. She is very classy and I               hope she will be good enough to take her chance ( come July) in the american Oaks.

                CRIMSON CHINA a well bred 3yo who has gone into training with Graham Motion and who oozes class. He was            bought for Team Valor

                 FIFTH COMMANDMENT is a smallish filly who is very attractive and has got an 'engine'. She makes up in guts and quality what she lacks in size.

 

Yesterday I attended the February sale in Newmarket and bought a cheapish gelding for some Italian clients as well as a ridiculously cheap unbroken 2yo filly which I will race myself. If she proves good enough I will send her to the USA in due course.

 

Another horse who ran really well recently is MAJOR ART who was 4th in the Eddie LOgan Stakes. He will come on a huge amount for that race and looks a nice prospect
