The next few days will be exciting ones

 

Tonight on  opening day at Oak Tree, GET A GRIP runs first time for Neil Drysdale. Will probably need the race but I hope for a bold show.. Then later on the same card. MINUTE LIMIT will try to win her first Graded Stakes race. She did not fire last time out  but hopefully she will put her best foot forward

Friday we have IRISH FIELD running in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket. It is a very tough race, but the trainer is pleased with him and he could go close. Also on Friday in Ireland GITANO HERNANDO makes his long awaited return to action in the GR 3 Diamond Stakes on the polytrack at Dundalk. This is a prep for the Champion Stakes in two weeks' time. It's a big ask but I think class will tell. There is a horse of O'Briuen's which will be the one to beat.

On Saturday TALE UNTOLD runs in the $ 500,000 Tattersalls Million race at Newmarket. She faces a big field of 21 runners and I am not at all convinced that she will handle the soft ground. On form she must be one of the top choices but she is trying 7/8ths for the first time and the ground could be her downfall. Still I will remain hopeful.
