After a quiet 2018 where she only had two moderate runs it was really pleasing to see SPY RING (2014 f by Bushranger) resume winning ways in an allowance race down the hill at Santa Anita. Taken to the lead fairly early she powered away and although she was tiring towards the end she held on gamely to win by just under 2 lengths. A good training performance from Jim Cassidy and a nice ride by Kent Desormeaux. She should be able to step up a class now and it would be great to see her win a Stakes race sometime this year.
Tonight we have BEECHWOOD ELLA running in a Stakes race at Gulfstream Parki. SHe is up against Ginger Nut a filly I really tried to get someone to buy last year, but failed.  More on this later tonight.
