AN EVENTFUL WEEK
THis has been a very eventful week.
First, last Saturday DEVANT , a filly I bought for Team Valor after she had won a small race in the French provinces, ran in the GR 3 Six Perfections Stakes at Deauville., It was the most nailbiting finish, and unfortunately she was beaten the smalles nose possible. In fact for quite a while we thought she had prevailed but the official photo showed she was just nailed. A stride after the post she was in front. Still that run repays the faith I had in the filly., Now it's going to be the Natalma STakes GR 1 at Woodbine, with possibly the Prix du Calvados between now and the Natalma
Tonight LAFTA a filly I bought at Arqana for Deron Pearson won by nearly 5 lengths at Gulfstream Park on her first US start., I always liked this filly a great deal and I know Patrick Biancone likes her too, She would have won even more easily had she not been boxed in coming into the straight.
Also today CAPLA GILDA a filly I bought as a yearling and who failed to sell when I offered her as a 2yo won a little nursery event at Ffos Las. SHows that she has got the talent., SHame though in a way because in her previous race she had been a neck 2nd ( ridden terribly) in a claimer and she got claimed ( not surprisingly)
Big weekend coming up with SOPHIE P trying to regain winning form in the Yellow Ribbon at Del Mar
Hope to have some more winners to tell you about real soon
