SOME UPDATES

A quiet few weeks runner wise, yet  two slightly disappointing runs
BELVOIR BAY, as was partly expected did not handle the Woodbine track layout that well and I think the long travel ( air to KY and then a long van ride to Canada) had dulled her somewhat. She was lacking her usual scintillating acceleration. Still there are more options for her going forward. Then MIA TESORO just could not handle the slow tapeta surface at Newcastle. She could not get any grip on the surface, but still ran a decent race. WE'll look for good to firm turf again next.

Bought a nice filly for Team Valor a couple of weeks ago. A 2yo filly called DEVANT who had won very impressively at Craon. Has a lot of quality and will reportedly be seen next in a Stakes race at Deauville at the end of July. I hope she turns out to be as good as she looked on that first run/win

In California, JAZAALAH won her maiden in great style and she looks like she can step up on that now and be a nice filly.

This weekend we have CAPLA TEMPTRESS running in the Belmont Oaks. I think the race has come up a little tougher than was expected, but if she runs up to her best she should have a good chance.

Otherwise things are fairly slow on the runner front as there seems to be no turf racing at Los Alamitos so we might have to wait for Del MAr to start in a couple of weeks. Hope that DP Racing and my other clients and Jim Cassidy have a great meet there.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY TO ALL MY US FRIENDS AND CLIENTS
