Although she  finished 5th LASEEN was only beaten 3 3/4 lengths in the Grade 2 Goldikova Stakes at Del Mat as the first race of the 2nd day of the Breeders Cup

Off a little slowly and settled just a bit too far off the pace, she came with a storming run, and I felt that with a stronger ride in the last 1/2 furlong she could have got up to be 3rd. 
Still it was a very good run in a quality field and there is surely some black type to be won with this mare
