Following on from CAPLA TEMPTRESS's great Grade 1 win in the Natalma Stakes at Woodbine, we had two more runner in a Grade 1 event the following weekend. RESPONSIBLEFORLOVE and AMBOSELI contested the Rodeo Drive ( GR 1) at Santa Anita and ran really well. RESPONSIBLE FORLOVE finished 3rd beaten 3/4 length, having been shuffled back in the straight and running on well. She should/would have won had she not been impeded slightly. In the same race AMBOSELI came from the back of the pack and was finishing strongly to get 4th beaten two noses for second. Both horses showed great ability and were unfortunate not to be better placed.

The following weekend BELVOIR BAY, back on song finished 3rd in the Swingtime Stakes over 1 mile at Santa Anita. She hit the front with 2 furlongs to go but just ran out of steam in the last 50 yards to be beaten a neck into 3rd. It was another game run from this consistent filly. Maybe she could have won had her jockey ridden her out more strongly in the dying strides.

Not much action in the next few days. 

The Breeders Cup with CAPLA TEMPTRESS and possibly RESONSIBLEFORLOVE could be the next big races to look out for #
