GREAT RUN FROM CAPLA TEMPTRESS
Given the past week's weather it was suprisingly plesant at Newmarket yesterday, and the hospitality to owners provided by the track was excellent. The only negative was the ground which had dried up so it had become rather dead, which could have proved difficult for Team Valor's filly, CAPLA TEMPTRESS, which I selected and bought for them in a private deal a few weeks ago. HOwever she coped with it really well
In the pre-parade ring, she was the calmest and most professional looking of the fillies, and she was equally relaxed in the paddock itself. Based on this evaluation I though she would run really well and I was not to be disappointed.
She broke well, but could find no cover. However shebattled and stayed on really well to finish a very pleasing 3rd in the Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes. She will stay further.
She has now got valuable black type and she looks like she will come on for this run in higher company. She beat some good fillies here
The GR 1 Natalma STakes at Woodbine in late September, followed by the Breeders Cup, look to be the plan now.
She is an exciting new acquisition for Team Valor and on yesterday's evidence she should be winning a Graded Stakes event in the not too distant future
